The Butler Little Theatre brought to a close its 67th season on June 7 with its annual business meeting and social.

The board of directors, members and volunteers gathered at the theater to review the organization's financial and membership status, listen to committee reports, and fill vacant seats on the board.

The highlight of the evening was the celebration of the 2007-2008 season and the five shows that were staged, including "Hollywood Arms," "A Christmas Carol," "Same Time, Next Year," "The Mousetrap" and "Leading Ladies."

Volunteers were honored with awards for their participation in the season, including the Board of Directors Award that was presented to Danyle Verzinskie for her outstanding service to BLT and its activities. Casey Lazor received the Joseph Pian Award, recognizing outstanding contributions by a young person. Certificates of Appreciation to those going above and beyond were awarded to the Fellenz Family, the McAfee Family, Dan McCarty, Shirley Ann Minehart, Janice Nearhoof and Marsha Seybert. Certificates of Recognition were presented for memorable onstage performances to Phil Ball ("Leading Ladies"), Casey Bowser ("Leading Ladies"), Jeff Carey ("Same Time Next Year," "The Mousetrap," "Leading Ladies"), Katie Moore ("Same Time Next Year"), and Heidi Nicholls-Bowser ("Hollywood Arms"). Other highlights included the commendation of Kristin Bearer and Shirley Ann Minehart to the member category of Life Member and the election of Kristin Bearer, Susan Collar, Paul Haughey, Bob Meals, Janice Nearhoof, Barbara Shinn, and Katy Wayne to the BLT board.

The following shows were announced for BLT's 68th season, which will begin with a membership drive and auditions in August: "Murder at the Howard Johnson's" by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick; "UTBU" by James Kirkwood; "Deathtrap" by Ira Levin; "Anybody Out There?" by John Patrick; and "Rumors by Neil Simon."
