Butler woman charged in 2 incidents a day apart

A Butler woman is charged following two altercations last Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, Butler police said.

Cierra Rose Hefferan, 23, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct following an incident Thursday in the 500 block of West Cunningham Street.

Police said they were dispatched Thursday night after multiple callers reported a fight. Police said Hefferan and Jada Lynn Winkelman of Lyndora, went to a residence, and another woman there began to shove Winkelman. The three then got into an altercation.

Police said video taken of the altercation showed Hefferan and Winkelman punching and kicking the woman while she was on the ground. The woman eventually got to her vehicle. Before she could close the vehicle’s door, Winkelman entered and continued striking her along with Hefferan, police said.

Winkelman, 21, was also charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct following the incident.

Police said Hefferan got into another altercation the following day on North Main Street. In the Friday incident, she was charged with one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Police said Hefferan began swinging at a woman, who was not identified by police, then pepper sprayed her in the face, causing injuries to her eyes. Hefferan then fled the scene, police said.

Preliminary hearings have not yet been scheduled in either case.
