COVENANT PRESBY
The Maundy Thursday service will be at 8 p.m. today at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. The service will include Holy Communion and the Ancient Order of Tenebrae service. It is based on the ancient tradition of extinguishing candles one by one until the worshipping congregation sits in total darkness in anticipation of Good Friday.
A joint Good Friday worship service with other area Presbyterian churches will be from noon to 1 p.m. at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St.

East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph Streets, will have a 7 p.m. joint Good Friday worship service with North Butler Presbyterian. Holy Communion will be served and music will be shared.
There will be a 9:30 a.m. Easter Sunday service with Holy Communion.
North Butler Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Butler Church Road, will have a 7 a.m. Easter sunrise service followed by breakfast. This is a joint event with East Butler Presbyterian. There will be an 11 a.m. Easter Sunday worship service with Holy Communion.

The 7 p.m. Good Friday worship service at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 120 Orchard Drive, will feature the choir, Holy Communion and a choral reading of four voices presenting the Passion story.

Butler Presbyterian churches will hold a community worship service in the sanctuary of Saint Andrews at noon on Good Friday. The service will be led by Butler-area ministers and musicians.
The 7 a.m. Easter Sonrise service with communion will be outdoors at the Pleasant Valley Boat Launch at Moraine State Park. Take a chair.
A traditional Easter service will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Music will feature Kyle Golden on the trumpet, the Chancel Choir and the Children’s Chimes. The One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be received.
THE SOWER’S CHAPEL
An Easter sunrise service will be at 6:45 a.m. at the lake across from the Sower’s Chapel, 100 Iron Bridge Road, Sarver. Hot cross buns will be served at the church.
