Mars Area School District has welcomed Debbie Brandstetter as its next business manager.

On March 16, Mars Area School Board formally appointed Brandstetter to the position to replace Jill Swaney, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Brandstetter has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Robert Morris University and is pursuing a master’s degree in school business leadership at Wilkes University.

She previously served as business administrator at Riverside Beaver County School District, director of business services at Butler Area School District, director of business affairs at South Butler County School District, treasury and account manager at Siemens Water Technologies, controller at Armstrong Group of Companies, accountant at Tech Team Inc. and as an accountant at Ken Small CPA.

A resident of Saxonburg, Brandstetter is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials.
