Nicklas 104th birthday
Bernice Pearl Hooks Nicklas of Dallas, formerly of Butler, will celebrate her 104th birthday Dec. 23.
An open house gathering will be at White Rock Court in Dallas the afternoon of Dec. 19.

A resident of Butler for over 70 years, she moved to Dallas in 2015 to be near her daughter and son-in-law.
Her daughter, Carolyn Johnson, and son-in-law, Tim, live quite near and visit frequently.
Bernice attends church with them on Sundays, and is able to go out to eat and the occasional shopping trip.
She has a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Bernice continues to enjoy living at White Rock Court in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas.
