William and Phylis Spiece

William and Phylis Spiece of Fenelton celebrated 50 years of marriage with an early surprise anniversary party Nov. 13 at Rey Azteca in Butler with family and close friends.

Spiece married the former Phylis Timblin Dec. 29, 1971, at Hill United Presbyterian Church, Butler.

They have two children, Jennifer (Mike) Spiece of Pittsburgh and Holly (Aaron) Doerr of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren.

Spiece retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 22 years and from AK Steel after 20 years.

Mrs. Spiece was a school lunch lady for more than 10 years and retired from Eat'n Park after 25 years.
