Scott B. Wilson
In memory of firefighter/paramedic, Scott B. Wilson
March 8, 1976 - April 8, 2001
Another year has passed since we said goodbye.
Most days I can stop for a moment and remember you and smile.
Most days I can talk about you and be so proud.
Most days it's ok.
But some days it's too much.
The other day I heard water rushing through a rain-swollen creek and the memories came rushing back with it.
Some days it just hurts.
Some days I just want to share with you all that I have been given.
I wish I could share the time I spend with Cole.
Did you hear him singing on your birthday?
Leading the church in song.
I was so proud of him.
He is such an incredible kid.
And Kenzee, you'd love her.
She has been a blessing to all of us with her big brown eyes and little girl giggles.
Hand picked, we tell her.
I have so much to be thankful for.
I have great friends, an amazing family, mine and yours.
I found love again (and an even bigger family).
I found a renewed and stronger sense of faith and with that blessings too many to count.
But some days I struggle.
Some days it's too hard.
The death of your dad last year was a devastating loss to everyone who loved him.
I take comfort knowing you are together.
You are both missed by so many.
As Cole said, "I'm glad you're in Heaven", but I miss you, too.
