We weren't ready to let you go

I wish we could have been stronger

But we wanted to hold on to you

We knew you were tired and wanted to sleep

Seeing you in pain made us weep

We got the strength from each other and said good-bye to a great-gram, gram and mother.

We knew it would be hard but not this much
