BMH, techs’ union ratify agreement

Signing follows announcement of deal Wednesday

Butler Memorial Hospital announced in a news release Friday evening an agreement with the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP), the union which represents hospital techs, has officially been ratified.

“This agreement strengthens staffing stability and reinforces Butler Memorial Hospital’s commitment to patient safety, a respectful workplace, and continued investment in services patients rely on close to home,” the hospital said in the release.

The signing comes on the heels of an announcement Wednesday the hospital and union had come to an agreement on terms for the hospital’s 235 techs first contract after voting to join PASNAP.
