Sliders suffer another loss
West Virginia’s lineup chased Slippery Rock starter Josh Tinnon from Tuesday’s Prospect League game after just 2/3 of an inning. The Miners scored five runs in the frame and went on to defeat the Sliders 7-3.
Four West Virginia players tallied two hits, led by John Spirk’s two singles, two runs scored and two RBI.
Slippery Rock (4-7) made three errors and tallied just six hits. Mitch Elliott singled, tripled, scored a run and drove in one.
