PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst has hired former UCLA assistant Inoke (ee-NO-kay) Breckterfield as defensive line coach.

Breckterfield spent the 2011 season with the Bruins after previously working at Montana and Weber State.

Breckterfield starred at defensive end for Oregon State in the late 1990s, posting a then school-record for career sacks (19.5) and tackles for loss (55.5).
