SLIPPERY ROCK - The following cases were heard Sept. 21 by District Justice Clifford Woessner.
Michael B. McGee, 19, of New Brighton waived his case to court. He was charged with criminal trespass, possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and purchasing alcoholic beverages as a minor after he was found Sept. 16 in a female student's dormitory room at Dodds Hall, Slippery Rock University. Slippery Rock Police filed the complaint. McGee was released on a $3,000 bond. His arraignment is set for Nov. 1 at the Butler County Courthouse.
Allison C. McCandless, 20, of Mercer waived her case to court. She was charged with driving under the influence, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, purchasing alcohol as a minor, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and a minor driving while under the influence of alcohol after police responded to reports that McCandless was passed out in her vehicle on Sept. 17 on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. State police filed the complaint. McCandless was released on her own recognizance. Her arraignment is set for Nov. 1 at the Butler County Courthouse.
Jerome I. Smalls, 24, of Philadelphia was held for court. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. The complaint was filed by Slippery Rock University Police after students at the campus communications desk on May 5 reported Smalls had rented a camcorder under another person's name. Smalls was released on his own recognizance. His arraignment is set for Nov. 1 at the Butler County Courthouse.
Martin T. Rummel, 39, of Slippery Rock was held for court. He was charged with simple harassment, harassment and disorderly conduct after police were called to the Slippery Rock High School football fields, where Rummel allegedly struck Eugene Lynn several times and continued hitting Lynn after Lynn fell to the ground. State police filed the complaint. Rummel was released on his own recognizance with the stipulation he stay away from the victim. His arraignment is set for Nov. 1 at the Butler County Courthouse.
