Matt Simoni hit for the cycle and drove in four runs and Jake Yachovich added a three-run homer to lead Freeport to an 8-2 victory over Zelienople in Eagle County baseball action Wednesday.

• John Bonk struck out 11 batters in five innings of work to pick up the win for Freeport (6-7-2).

• Gabe Stephenson doubled and homered and Nick Rossmiller singled three times to lead Mars II to a 7-3 win over Cranberry Township at Callery Field.

• Tyler Dean had a strong outing on the mound, earning the victory with four strikeouts and one walk in a complete game.

For Cranberry, Justin Patsilevas singled and homered and Greg Miller singled and doubled.
