Covenant PresbyThe Rev. Betsy McCormick will be the guest minister for Sunday’s worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. McCormick was a missionary in Sudan for 14 years and also served as minister at the Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church.The Jan. 26 “Souper Bowl” of Caring luncheon will benefit Butler Warming Center on Center Avenue.

First BaptistThis week, First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have its regularly scheduled Sunday activities. Also on Sunday, there will be a luncheon following the morning service and a service at 1:15 p.m. There will be no evening service.

North Main St. Church of GodThe Tuesday Women’s Word Bible study at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will resume at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church fellowship hall.
