Christ Community U.M.The fundraiser Thirty-One Party at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.Bibles for third- through fifth-graders will be presented Sunday. A soup luncheon will follow the traditional service. Take soup and/or a dessert to share and a can of soup for the food cupboard.The Taize service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. There will be no youth group meeting.A joint meeting of the witness, outreach and nurture committees will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 30.The food cupboard items are tuna and noodles.

Christ’s OutreachChrist’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have its Lifetree Café at 7 p.m. today.Mike Menees will speak at the Sunday worship service.The church’s annual business meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Tuesday’s adult Bible study is canceled.Canned soup and crackers are the January donations to the food pantry. Those in need can call the church office for assistance.

Community Life ChurchCommunity Life Church holds services at McQuistion Elementary School.There will be Communion during the Sunday service, and the Honduras mission team will report and give testimonies. The Daniel Fast will end Sunday.Members will take a building fund offering and go on a Laundromat Ministry outing after tear down.

Covenant Presby.The Rev. Betsy McCormick will be the guest minister Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. McCormick was a missionary in Sudan for 14 years and also served as minister at Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church in New Castle.The noisy offering of loose change will be received during the Sunday worship service.The “Souper Bowl” of Caring soup luncheon will be in the Assembly Room after worship Sunday. An offering will be received and the proceeds will be donated to the Butler Warming Center.

FAITH U.P.The annual meeting of the congregation will be after the Sunday worship service at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 120 Orchard Drive.

Grace @ Calvary LutheranGrace’s Closet will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. This clothing bank is open to all regardless of income.Faith Shapers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Hill U.P.The Hill Youth Chorale of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will present its musical cabaret at 7 p.m. Friday and at noon Sunday following worship. Friday’s performance will include dessert and coffee. Sunday’s ticket will include a spaghetti luncheon. All proceeds will benefit the chorale’s music ministry trip to Nashville in June.Members should use the blue offering envelope for their 2014 per capita.A sign-up sheet is near the library for Kids Club donations of juice pouches, veggie and fruit trays and cookies.

Meridian U.P.Parents and children in grades 3 to 12 will have a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday at Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave. After the meal, members will finalize plans for spring events.Sewing day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
