Matt Gordon fired a 74 as the Grove City High golf team opened the season with a first-place finish in the Lakeview High School Tee-Off Tournament at Pine Grove Golf Course Thursday afternoon.

Gordon finished one stroke off the lead to help the Eagles shoot a 343 as a team, edging Hickory by four strokes.
