In loving memory of our dad and granddad, Robert C. Christy, who passed away twenty-four years ago today, April 11, 1986.

Little did we know that morning the sorrow the day would bring.

The loss was great, the shock severe,

To part with one we loved so dear.

We were not able to say that last farewell or even day goodbye,

For you were gone before we knew.

God took you home to rest,

To never again feel the pain that only you knew best.

Dad, you were our friend, confidant, teacher, and guide.

You were always there to give us guidance, advice, and especially your love.

You sacrificed much for us, but never seemed to mind.

You always stood beside us through the best and worst of times.

I guess we thought you would always be there,

But now all we have are the precious memories left behind.

We love and miss you every day of our lives,

Till we are all together again.
