Butler Church of the NazareneThe annual Memorial Day picnic for Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road, will be at 6 p.m. Sunday. The church will supply hot dogs, condiments and beverages. Take a dish to share.

The Sower’s ChapelEnrico “Rick” Davanzati, who served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, will be honored at a community Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. Sunday on the hilltop across from the Sower’s Chapel, 100 Iron Bridge Road, Sarver.The service will include an honor guard, bagpiper and flag ceremony. Colleen Gray, Slippery Rock University associate professor, will provide special music.Limited parking is available at the outdoor sanctuary on the hilltop.
