In loving memory of Harry L. Snyder Sr. who passed away September 6, 2009.

Dad had a nature you could not help loving;

And to those who knew him and loved him,

His memory will never grow cold.

Do not ask if we miss him

There is such a vacant place,

Often we think we hear his footsteps

And see his smiling face.

Today recalls sad memories

Of our dad gone to rest,

Days of sadness still comes over us,

Tears of silence often flow,

Memory keeps him near to us.

To those who never knew you

The world may seem the same;

But to us who loved and lost you

Life's but a bitter name.

Oh how patient in thy suffering

When, no hand could give thee ease,

God, the helper of the helpless,

Saw pain and gave thee peace.

Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection, and

The Life; he that believeth in Me though he were dead, yet shall he live."
