At least 1 worker injured in blast at AK Steel
BUTLER TWP — An explosion at A-K Steel Butler Works has injured at least one worker this afternoon, according to radio transmissions from the county emergency center.
The worker reportedly suffered burns to his face and other parts of his body and was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.
A company spokesman said she would not have a statement until she finished gathering information about the accident.
