BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during the worship service Sunday, World Communion Sunday, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

The Presbyterian peacemaking offering will be received Sunday.

The People for Peace Bible study will meet at 11 a.m. Oct. 9 in the assembly room.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., will observe World Communion Sunday at the Sunday worship service. The offering for peacemaking will be received.

The deacons board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

FIRST BAPTIST

The ladies’ Bible study of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Dittmer home.

Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Sunday will be followed by a prayer service at 9 a.m., Sunday school and worship.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will present an adult catechism class from 11 a.m. to noon and from 6:20 to 7:20 p.m. Thursdays in October. The Rev. Richard Newman will lead the meetings.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will observe World Communion Sunday with Communion at both services.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will have a blessing of the animals service at 10 a.m. Saturday. Animals should be on leashes, in cages and muzzled. Park in the Diamond Street parking lot.

Relay For Life will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper and will receive the peacemaking offering at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The food request for October is noodles and tuna.

Oct. 12 is the deadline to make reservations for the women’s fall luncheon on Oct. 18.

The women’s book club will meet at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

Club 56 and JumpStart 78 youths will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday for bowling night.

MERIDIAN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will host an ethnic luncheon after the Sunday worship service. Following the meal, school kits and health kits will be packed for Church World Service.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will celebrate World Communion weekend Saturday and Sunday.

Relevant Student Ministries invites all senior and junior high school youths to BACK OFF!, a program about bullying, from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 10 at the mission outpost. Admission and pizza are free.
