BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Debby Shutak will present the special music for the Sunday worship service at the Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The youths’ pizza and pumpkin party will be at Pastor Ben’s house from 6:30 to 9 p. m. today.

For Operation Christmas Child, the church is collecting donations of shoe boxes, unscented soap, socks and little notebooks for the packing party 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 22. To make purses for little girls, contact Natalie Wall or Amanda Doyle.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper during the Sunday worship service. The Rev. William A. Jamieson will be the guest speaker. He is a retired minister who served the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Evans City for 28 years.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., will observe the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Sunday service.

Boxes for Operation Christmas Child are available.

The deacons will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The pastor’s Bible study will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eat’n Park, 114 Clearview Circle.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN OF BAKERSTOWN

First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, will have a service of remembrance to help people process their grief over the loss of a loved one at 7 p.m. Sunday. GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will serve Communion at its Sunday worship services.

GYMsox will have makeup evaluations from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The deacons will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the conference room.

To help Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, fill a shoebox with toys or other small items and return it to the church with the project fee by Nov. 23.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

There will be a “Meet the Candidate” reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., to meet the Rev. Tara Lynn and her family.

The church will celebrate All Saints’ Day and guest pastor Tara Lynn will speak at the Sunday service. Following the service, there will be a congregational meeting and vote to extend a call to her as the new pastor.

The Butler Relay For Life meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets each Sunday morning at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Beth Ackelson, Jenny Martin and Ernie Taylor will provide the special music at the Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and Consecration Sunday.

Also Sunday, the women’s book club will discuss “The Sense of An Ending” at 12:15 p.m., the instrumental ensemble will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. and youths in Club 56 and JumpStart 78 will have a game night at 7 p.m.

The deacons are collecting nonperishable food for their Harvest Home project.

The Hill Youth Chorale Election Day bake sale will be Tuesday.

MERIDIAN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., will observe a thank offering at the Sunday worship service.

Meetings of the deacons and the trustees will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Sarah Elizabeth Circle will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 6 in room 15 of the educational building.

MT. CHESTNUT PRESBYTERIAN

The Secret Saints will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422.

The new members class will be at 10 a.m. Sunday and meet each Sunday in November.

The food pantry will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday and the buildings and grounds support team will meet at 7 p.m.

The Ladies Lunch Bunch will not meet Tuesday, but instead will meet Nov. 11.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will celebrate the Lord’s Supper this weekend.

The Harvest Festival for families and friends will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday behind the mission outpost.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

The youth group of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will visit a Jewish synagogue and go caving at Laurel Caverns Saturday. The group will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call the church at 724-538-8672.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have a Blest Be the Tie That Binds fall service and supper at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 to enable homebound members to attend church. Contact the church office by Monday to make reservations and request transportation.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 Connoquenessing School Road, Connoquenessing will celebrate Holy Communion at the Sunday worship service.

The November cause of the month is the Butler Chapter of the Salvation Army. Cash donations will help offset its lost United Way funding.

The BALM meeting will be Tuesday at Lutherlyn to review results from the congregational member surveys.

ST. LUKE LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate All Saints’ Day Sunday with special remembrances and Holy Communion at both services.

Spud Man and the Amazing Potato Posse will ride into both services Sunday to accept donations for the food bank potato campaign.

A 90th birthday lunch for Eleanor Hanna will be at 12:15 p.m. Make reservations at the office for lunch.

The coffee fellowship will meet at 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

There will be an All Ministry Night at 7 p.m. Monday.

A pancake-and-sausage dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The monthly women’s Bible study will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at the church and Christian education will meet at 7 p.m.
