In loving memory of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John “J.B.” Bresnehan, who passed away one year ago today.

Little we knew that morning,

The sorrow the day would bring,

The loss was great, the shock severe,

To part with one we loved so dear.

We couldn’t say the last farewell,

Or even say goodbye,

For you were gone before we knew,

And only God knows why.

A heart of gold stopped beating,

Two smiling eyes at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
