Dec. 8 — Percy B. Guilky, 53, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors drug possession, related to an Aug. 12 traffic stop on the 300 block of Center Avenue in Butler.Police said they stopped the vehicle for an equipment violation, and they knew Guilky, the driver, to be a habitual user of crack cocaine and heroin. Police said they later searched Guilky and found 14 stamp bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl as well as one corner bag of suspected crack cocaine.2:22 p.m. Dec. 6 — Rastis O. Marcy, 43, of Butler, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor drug possession after police were called for suspected drug activity at Gabe's in Butler.Police said employees at the store caught Marcy allegedly trying to steal pants the day before, and he called Dec. 6 to tell them he left items in the pockets.Police said when the employees searched the pockets, they found stamp bags of suspected drugs, which officers suspect are two stamp bags of heroin and one bag of crack cocaine.Dec. 3 — Two men were charged after allegedly assaulting a man.Ryan A. Vargo, 22, of Chicora, and Donald E. Vargo, 47, of Butler, were charged with felony aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy as well as misdemeanor simple assault, related to a Nov. 30 incident on the 400 block of North Main Street in Butler.Police said the two had fled the scene when they arrived, but they spoke with an injured man at the scene. Police said the man claimed the two Vargo men started an argument in a parking lot.He allegedly told police that the two then punched him in the face, and after he had fallen continued kicking him. The man was later diagnosed with a concussion and a cut to his eye that has left him with vision loss.Dec. 3 — Bruce L. Stennett, 32, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief after an incident Dec. 1 during his transport to Butler County Prison from the Butler City Police Station.Police said during the transport, Stennett was argumentative and became unruly in the back seat. Police said at one point, he head-butted and kicked the plexiglass divider, and he later kicked and damaged the door.Police said Stennett caused about $3,750 in damage.Stennett was also charged with misdemeanor marijuana and paraphernalia possession, related to an Nov. 28 incident at his girlfriend's home in Butler.Police said following an altercation with his girlfriend, police were detaining him, during which time they found marijuana and paraphernalia in the pocket of his jacket.
Dec. 9 — Two men were charged following a drug raid at a home on the 300 block of West Birch Street in Butler.Police said that during the search they found that Kahlil Z. Rippy, 23, of Butler, and Hassan L. Brack, 35, of Butler, were inside Rippy's apartment.Police said they found six corner bags of suspected crack cocaine, which Rippy admitted to trying to flush. Rippy was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanor evidence tampering.Police said Brack was found in a bedroom, where they also found a gun. Police said Brack was convicted of a drug-related felony in 2010 that would prohibit him from possessing a gun.Dec. 6 — Alexandria L. Lennon, 22, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a Nov. 12 traffic stop on Hansen Avenue in Butler.Police said they stopped Lennon for failing to use headlights. Police said they smelled alcohol while speaking with her, and field sobriety tests showed she was impaired. Police said a later breath test showed Lennon's blood-alcohol content at 0.093%, and in Pennsylvania a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
