Dec. 17 — Blue Jean-Marie Kerry, 30, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor drug and paraphernalia possession, related to a Dec. 11 investigation into suspicious activity on the 200 block of East Walnut Street.Police said Kerry was with two other women, one of whom ducked out of view when they saw police. All three people were arrested for various warrants.Kerry was found to have an arrest warrant out of Armstrong County, and during a search police said they found suspected crack cocaine and paraphernalia.Dec. 15 — Joseph E. Olcus, 59, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, related to a Dec. 14 incident the 200 block of North Main Street in Butler.Police said a woman gave police a statement accusing Olcus of cutting a lock of her daughter's hair without permission.Dec. 13 — Russell E. McDowell, 57, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a vehicle crash Dec. 5 the 100 block of Oak Street in Butler.Police said McDowell admitted to drinking before driving, and field-sobriety tests showed he was impaired.Police said a later breath test showed McDowell's blood-alcohol content at .176%, and in Pennsylvania a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.Dec. 11 — Rastis O. Marcy, 43, of Butler, was charged with felony retail theft related to items stolen Dec. 5 from Gabe's.Store employees allegedly told police they stopped Marcy for trying to leave while wearing a jacket he hadn't paid for. They told police he put the jacket back, then went back inside, put on about $160 worth of clothes and again tried to leave the store.

Dec. 16 — Aryn Renee Pezzelle, 32, of New Kensington, was charged with retail theft stemming from a response to Walmart on Dec. 15.Police said they responded to Walmart in Cranberry Township for a retail theft in progress, where asset protection said Pezzelle did not scan multiple Lego set items at self-checkout, and scanned several incorrect merchandise bar codes.Police said Pezzelle was cooperative with asset protection, and police found that she attempted to steal about $750 worth of merchandise from the store.

State Police, ButlerDec. 29 — Jason C. Brobst, 37, of Catawissa, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle relating to an incident on Sept. 20 in Prospect.Police said Brobst was loaned a vehicle by the owner and the owner has been receiving fines by mail regarding the vehicle. Police said Brobst has not responded to requests to return the vehicle.Dec. 26 — Ryan E. Edgington, 32, of Butler, was charged with simple assault, harassment and strangulation relating to an incident Dec. 26 in Brady Township.Police said Edgington engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when he grabbed the other person by the neck and choked them until they passed out.Dec. 21 — George B. Palmer, 36, of Russelton, was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from an incident July 4 in Franklin Township.Police said they responded to a dispatch regarding an erratic driver on Unionville Road. Police said the operator was identified as Palmer, and that they could smell alcohol emanating from his person. Police said upon performing a field sobriety test, Palmer was proven to be impaired. Police said Palmer's license was found to be suspended.Dec. 21 — Angela N. Stietenroth, 25, of Butler, was charged with a small amount of marijuana possession relating to an incident Dec. 15 in Slippery Rock borough.Police said they approached Stietenroth and she handed over a bag of marijuana from her pocket stating “you were going to find it anyway.”Dec. 21 — William A. Oretel, 71, of Evans City, was charged with a first-offense DUI relating to an incident July 13 in Prospect.Police said they responded to a call of a man intoxicated outside Fairground Market on New Castle Road. Police said they smelled alcohol on Orete and after a blood test, he was proven to be impaired.Police said Oretel's blood-alcohol content level was 0.121% and in Pennsylvania a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.Dec. 18 — Savannah A. Kurimski Artzberger, 24, of Slippery Rock, was charged with aggravated assault relating to an incident Dec. 18 in Brady Township.Police said Kurimski Artzberger stabbed her boyfriend twice in the arm during an argument that turned physical.Dec. 15 — Police responded to a domestic violence call at Sheetz after a husband and wife had been in a fight.Shane W. Young, 48, of Slippery Rock, was charged with simple assault, harassment and making terroristic threats, and Jennifer Virginia Young, 48, of Slippery Rock, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.Police said Jennifer Young claimed her husband pulled into a driveway and ran at her, threw her to the ground, slammed a car door on her three times and said he was going to kill her.Police said Shane Young claimed Jennifer Young slashed him with a knife while in the car, and made two more unsuccessful attempts to slash him. Jennifer Young fled in a vehicle to Sheetz where she shared her story with police.

Dec. 15 — Abbrianna Jeannet Gibbs, 25, of Zelienople, was charged with making false reports in relation to a report of assault Nov. 15.Police said they were dispatched to Gibbs' residence Nov. 15 where she said she was assaulted.She called police again Nov. 30 and said she fabricated most of what happened on the initial dispatch Nov. 15.
