Kids enjoy 2 days of fishing activities

BRADYS BEND — American Legion Post 488 was the site of the fourth-annual Kids Fishing Day last weekend.
Young anglers helped to stock the creek with 500 trout from Laurel Hill Trout Farm April 25 and were rewarded with a cookout. Forty youngsters camped overnight at the facility.
On April 26, breakfast and lunch were provided for the 167 participants and their guardians.
The prize for the largest fish went to Shane Belles, 9, of East Brady, who landed a 19-inch trout.
Dillan Wiles of Bradys Bend won a bicycle, while passes to the Pittsburgh Zoo, Erie fishing trips, raceway passes, as well as camping and fishing gear, also were awarded to young anglers.
