A group of 10 children aged 5-10 were inside a bus that crashed Wednesday, April 15, in Connoquenessing Township, state police in Butler said Tuesday.

The students were on their way to Connoquenessing Elementary School at 8:40 a.m. when their bus crashed near 207 Shannon Road. Police said bus driver Dawn R. Cox-Henry, 67, of Butler, drove off the road into an embankment, then into a tree.

Police said no serious injuries were reported, but 7-year-old boy sustained a possible injury.

Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company, Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Butler Ambulance Service and Malinski Towing assisted.
