Hard-To-Recycle event set for Saturday in Karns City
The Pennsylvania Resources Council is launching its 2026 Hard-To-Recycle campaign by hosting its first collection event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Karns City Area Jr./Sr. High School.
For a $5 fee, individuals can drop off cellphones, home phones, Styrofoam blocks, video game consoles, DVD players, computer towers and peripheral computer equipment, such as keyboards, laptops and mice. For an additional fee, people can drop off televisions, computer monitors, printers, fluorescent tubes, microwaves, small Freon appliances and tires with and without rims.
