A Butler woman assaulted a Butler Memorial Hospital staff member Tuesday night, April 14, according to Butler Township police.

Saherra Ambyr Durham, 18, was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment following the incident.

Police were called just before 6 p.m. to the seventh floor of the hospital for the assault. Police said Durham became upset with a staff member and attempted to bite them.

Police said she then struck the staff member in the face and slapped them in the arms multiple times. The staff member sustained facial injuries.

Her case has been assigned to District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
