BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College will celebrate the season with Light Up Night and the Pittsburgh Philharmonic Holiday Concert, both Friday evening.
Light Up Night, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, will feature a horse-drawn carriage ride around the luminary-lit campus, seasonal music, games and crafts, hot cocoa, cookies and an appearance from Santa. This event is open to the public, and Phi Theta Kappa will be collecting any size donations to the March of Dimes. It will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in Founders Hall.
The Pittsburgh Philharmonic will present "A Winter's Eve" Holiday Concert featuring Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, Vivaldi's Winter, Waldtuefel's Skater's Waltz, and Prokofiev's Sleighride and Overture on Hebrew Themes, Op. 34. BUTLER TWP — A holiday concert will be presented by the Butler High School music department at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.The senior high girls' ensemble, Chanticleer Singers, concert choir and orchestra will play and conclude with Hallelujah Chorus.The free concert will be in the senior high auditorium.
