Chris Christensen, 93, of Butler, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026.

She was a 1950 graduate of Mars High School and was very actively involved in arranging class reunions for many years.

Chris was the mother of two children, Gayle and Billy, both of whom passed away several years ago.

She had several interesting jobs, including PR director at Wanamaker Department Store in Philadelphia and at a large mall in Atlanta. She also worked at a radio station and sold real estate in Florida. After moving back to the Butler area, she opened a women's consignment store in Allison Park and Middlesex Township, which she owned for several years.

Surviving are her grandson, Nathen; daughter-in-law, Raquel; great-grandson, Tony; and her sister, Sharon. She also leaves behind three loving nephews, Greg, Chris and Eric; and was the great aunt of Iris and Webb and several other nieces and nephews.

CHRISTENSEN — A private burial for Chris Christensen, who died Monday, April 6, 2026, will be held at Brownsdale Cemetery in Penn Township.

Memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
