Pioneers grab semifinal win

Krista Ebner had 10 kills and 10 digs and Tawnie Osborne 16 assists and eight aces to lead the host Butler County Community College women's volleyball team to a 30-10, 30-14, 30-26 victory over Pitt-Titusville in the semifinals of the WPCC playoffs Monday.

The top-seeded Pioneers (26-7) also received 21 digs from Stephanie Lawson, 13 digs from Tara Grossman and seven kills from Katherine Smith.

No. 4 seed Pitt-Titusville had defeated No. 5 seed Westmoreland County Community College to play the Pioneers in the semifinals.

BC3 will play the winner of the Community College of Beaver County-Potomac State match Wednesday for the championship.
