Regis J. Scheller, 63, of Hampton Township died unexpectedly Sunday.

He was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Pittsburgh to the late Frank and Emma Schneider Scheller.

Mr. Scheller was a member of the St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church.

He was a mechanic for more than 23 years with the Allegheny County Roads Department and was a member of Local 66.

He was an Army veteran, served in Vietnam and was a life member of the West View VFW.

Mr. Scheller was an avid bowler and belonged to the Gem Bowlers League. His hobbies and enjoyment were time with his family.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Ruth Beringer Scheller. They were married on Feb. 7, 1970, at the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. Also surviving are his loving children, Ron (Jo) Scheller of Saxonburg, Russell (Kris) Scheller of Richland Township and Lea (Bob) Marcouiller of Hampton Township. He was the cherished Pappy of eight grandchildren, Brendan, Trenton, Benjamin, Victoria, Christian, Isabella, Eleana and Leanna; and brother of Millie Fassinger, Janie Pfab and Walter, Jerry and David Scheller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

<B>SCHELLER</B> — Visitation for Regis J. Scheller, who died Sunday, April 27, 2008, was held at the <B>Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home</B>, Allison Park. AMass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday at the St. Catherine Church with the Rev. Regis Farmer officiating. Graveside services, with full military honors, were Wednesday at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.Memorial donations may be sent to St. Catherine Of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2445 Wildwood Road, P.O. Box 246, Wildwood, PA 15090.
