SRU will host the United States Military Academy Band's Jazz Knights from West Point in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Swope Music Hall.The concert, including big-band, patriotic and popular music, is free.The play, "The Vagina Monologues," will again be presented at Slippery Rock University as part of national V-Day. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11 in Swope Music Hall. Tickets will be available from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the University Union and at the door.V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls.The Eve Ensler play is about the mystery, humor, pain, power, outrage and excitement of women's experiences.This is the third time SRU will have stage the play.
Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre is presenting "Bubbling Brown Sugar" through Feb. 12 in the seventh floor auditorium of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave. in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. CMU's Regina Gauger Miller Gallery has three exhibitions on display through March 13.
