BC3 will host a Holiday Concert with the North Pittsburgh Philharmonic, a 70-piece orchestra, at 8 p.m. tonight as part of the Performing Arts Series.

The shows take place in the Succop Theater on campus. Other shows in the series include a performance by Second City at 8 p.m. Jan. 27; and "Bach, Beatles and Bluegrass" with the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble, at 8 p.m. March 11.

The 26 Nationality Rooms are decorated in traditional holiday grandeur and are open through Dec. 23 and Jan. 3 to 13. Various holiday customs from around the world are on display.Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Exceptions include Dec. 27 to 31, when the rooms will open at 10 a.m., with the last tour leaving at 2:30 p.m. The rooms will be closed Dec. 24 to 26 and Jan. 1.Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 8 to 18, and free for children younger than 8. Call 412-624-6000.As part of the Heinz Chapel Organ Concert Series, Richard Pinkerton will give a free performance at 3 p.m. Sunday in Heinz Memorial Chapel, Fifth and Bellefield avenues in Oakland.
