His CDs include "A Time for Love," "Departure," "Reflections" and "Jazz for Dancers." He has recorded and performed with such jazz stars as Slide Hampton, Jimmy Cobb and Buddy Tate. His compositions have been recorded by Stanley Turentine, David "Fathead" Newman and Hank Crawford.

The David Leonhardt Jazz Group has appeared at the International Arts Festival of Shenzen in China, the Maison de Dance in France, the Jazz Centro in Italy and the Winnipeg Jazz Festival.

Leonhardt is the president of Big Bang Records.

Single tickets for the BC3 show cost $15 in advance and $17 at the door; students pay $10.

Finishing off the Big Band Jazz Series will be the Trinity Jazz Orchestra, playing hits from the Big Band era, at 3 p.m. April 23.
