BUTLER TWP — Edinboro University and Butler County Community College are offering a new recreation tourism associate degree at the Porreco Center in Erie and at BC3's main campus in Butler.
Careers in recreation tourism include recreation director, resort director or conference coordinator for amusement parks, theme parks, resorts, YMCA's and municipal recreation departments.
Students who enroll in the program will be dually enrolled at BC3 and Edinboro University. Fall classes begin Aug. 23.
CRANBERRY TWP — Sharon Wolf is the new director of development for the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania.Most recently with the Children's Festival Chorus of Pittsburgh, Wolf also has worked for The Early Learning Institute, The Salvation Army of Western PA and the Pittsburgh Musical Theater.She has a master's in communication from California (Pa.) University, and a bachelor's in sociology from Clarion University.The association's headquarters is at 1158 Dutilh Road.
• Shannon Blain of Parker has been hired as Central Electric Cooperative's new consumer service billing representative. Before CEC, Blain worked at NexTier Bank in Parker.• Kimberly Hamilton has been hired by Krol Media Associates, a Cranberry Township-based advertising, public relations and graphic design firm as a full-time account executive. She is a graduate of the West Virginia University.
