Knoch Primary School will welcome a new principal for the 2026-27 school year.

At its Wednesday, April 1, meeting, Knoch’s school board voted to hire Angela Manchini.

In an email to staff, Melissa Grantz, assistant superintendent, relayed actions Manchini has taken in her current role of elementary school principal in the New Kensington-Arnold School District.

Grantz said the role has allowed her to introduce and expand the district’s first in-house autistic support program and implement multiple literacy programs and initiatives.

Grantz also highlighted Manchini’s belief in promoting positive school experiences and atmospheres through the positive behavioral interventions and supports framework, known as PBIS.

Manchini recently earned her doctorate in educational leadership. Grantz explained her dissertation and how it focused on the needs of teachers in low-income or Title I schools, specifically on how phonics are taught in the schools.

Manchini will take her position at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year and will replace current principal Gregory Boerio.
