Clair ‘Tom’ Uber

Clair T. “Tom” Uber, 86, of Butler, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026.

Born July 14, 1939, in Grove City, he was the son of the late Clair J. and Eleanor L. (Winger) Uber.

Tom was a graduate of New Wilmington High School, and went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Butler Moose Lodge 64, Butler Elks Lodge 0170, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 249, Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club and Grove City Masonic Lodge 603. Tom was also a member of Butler Global Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt.

Tom is survived by his brother, Jack A. (Susan) Uber; two daughters, Julie Myers and Deborah Hartman; and four loving nieces.

UBER — A memorial visitation for Clair T. “Tom” Uber, who died Monday, March 30, 2026, will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A Masonic service will be held in Tom's honor at 12:30 p.m.

He will be laid to rest privately in Crestview Memorial Park.
