Meadville scored with 36 seconds remaining to defeat Butler 5-4 in PIHL Class AAA action Monday at the Meadville Recreation Center.

The Tornado trailed 4-1 before goals by Zach Pennington, Tanner Master and Mavrik Goepfert, his second of the game, evened the score before Meadville pulled out the win.

Pennington and R.C Double added two assists while Goepfert and Master each added an assist.

Butler will return to action against Plum Nov. 29 at Delmont.

Quaker Valley 6, Knoch 1 — At the Valley Sports Complex, the Knights fell to the Quakers. No details were available.
