The Tamburitzans to perform in Ellwood City in April
The Tamburitzans will perform their new production, “The Shared Song,” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at the Lincoln Jr./Sr. High School, 501 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City.
Formerly the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, the concert is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ellwood City Scholarship Fund, and tickets may be purchased online at ellwoodtams.eventbrite.com for $30 adult advanced reserved, while tickets at the door on the day of the performance will be $35. Student tickets are $20.
Now in their 89th season, the Tamburitzans will weave a tapestry of music, songs and dances of Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine. Audiences will be transported to folk celebrations in a 90-minute production through intricate choreography, mesmerizing music and unique voices.
Tickets will also be available in person from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Ellwood City Public Library, 415 Lawrence Ave., Ellwood City, for $30 each. Tickets must be paid for by credit card.
