SLIPPERY ROCK - The following cases were heard Oct. 12 by District Justice Clifford Woessner:
John Wesley Gray II, 19, of Mount Pleasant waived his case to court. Gray is charged with driving under the influence, backing up improperly, damage to another vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Slippery Rock Borough police charged him after he struck an unoccupied vehicle in the Sheetz parking lot on South Main Street on Aug. 28. His arraignment is Nov. 22 in Butler County Court.
Donald Chalmers Harbison, 21, of Midway waived his case to court. Harbison is charged with driving under the influence and having passengers in an open truck. State police stopped his pickup truck on Sept. 4 on Cameron Drive at Keister Road when an officer saw two juveniles riding in the bed of the pickup truck. His arraignment is Nov. 22 in Butler County Court.
Richard Joseph Beatty Jr., 23, of Rochester waived his case to court. He is charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation. State police stopped his pickup truck at the intersection of Route 173 and Slippery Rock Road on Sept. 4 when an officer saw his pickup truck cross the opposite lane of travel and ride into a ditch, then re-enter the road and pull into a parking lot. His arraignment is Nov. 22 in Butler County Court.
Brian Lee Williamson, 22, of Slippery Rock waived his case to court. He is charged with driving under the influence, a lane violation, careless driving and failure to wear a seat belt. State police stopped his Jeep on Route 173 when an officer saw his vehicle drive over the berm five times and cross the center line once. His arraignment is Nov. 22 in Butler County Court.
John Michael Emmett, 20, of Bard Hall, Slippery Rock University, waived his case to court. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, purchase of alcohol by a minor and careless driving. State police stopped his car on Oct. 5 on Duffy Road just west of Route 173. The car skidded past the police cruiser, went down the middle of the road and pulled into a driveway. His arraignment is Nov. 22 in Butler County Court.
James Richard Getz, 35, of Harrisville waived his case to court. He is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault. He threatened a woman with a knife, according to the state police complaint. Woessner ordered him to have no contact with the victim. He was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond. His arraignment is Nov. 15 in Butler County Court.
