Helen M. Hendrickson Kelley Alwine, 90, of Butler, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2026, in Sunnyview Nursing and Rehab Center, Butler.

Born in Beaver on July 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Samuel W. and Emma G. Major Hendrickson.

She was Protestant by faith.

Helen had worked at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony and retired from St. John’s Nursing Home in Mars.

She enjoyed flowers. Her main love was in the home, cooking, baking, cleaning and maintaining her home and embroidering.

Helen is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Alwine, whom she married June 16, 1984, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold D. Kelley, and two brothers.

ALWINE — Friends and relatives of Helen M. Hendrickson Kelley Alwine, who died Wednesday, March 18, 2026, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Evans City. Services will follow at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
