Edith Marie (Sis) (McMonagle) Boyd, 92 of Slippery Rock passed away peacefully Friday, March 20, 2026. She was born April 25, 1933, and was the daughter of F. Mike McMonagle and Ruth Ann (Watt) McMonagle. She attended Muddy Creek Township, Portersville School.

On Dec. 9, 1950, she married Ralph E. Boyd. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 2025.

Edith was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed long drives along the countryside, shopping, family dinners, reunions, yard sales and decorating for the holidays. She babysat for many families and loved those kids as her own grandkids.

Edith is survived by four children, Mary (Tom) Tiberi of Butler, Ralph E. Boyd Jr. of Virginia, Tom (Linda) Boyd of Portersville and Susan M. McGill of Grove City.

She was blessed with four grandchildren, Nicolette Boyd, Bethany (Shane) Young, Victoria (Derek) Germuska and David Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren, Indie and Duke Boyd, Mia, Bianca, Evangaline and Leo Young, Willa, Orion, Thalia and Avi Germuska; and a great-niece and nephew, Devin Wehr and Damon Hoffman, whom she raised.

Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Kathy A. Boyd; son-in-law, John McGill; parents; brothers, Ernie and John McMonagle, and Willie Wehr; and a sister, Colleen Diamond.

BOYD — The family of Edith Marie (Sis) (McMonagle) Boyd, who died Friday, March 20, 2026, will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St. Slippery Rock, led by Pastor Bill Mumaw, pastor of Center Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
