Wanda Wesoloski
Wanda “Jean” Wesoloski, 94, of Chicora, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with loved ones by her side at the home she hand-built with her late husband, Louis. Jean went to be with her Savior after an illness.
She was born April 7, 1931, in McDonald, Pa. Jean was the daughter of the late Mark and Evelyn Denny.
She graduated from McDonald High School in 1949, and was employed as a telephone operator, bookkeeper, and secretary prior to becoming a stay-at-home parent.
Jean loved going out socializing with her family members every chance she could. Jean loved her family and her extended family from McDonald as well as “Moore Hill.” She will always be known for her signature one red rose as well as her love of birds and her flower beds.
Jean was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Chicora.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Olsen, Tracy and John Kulak, Laurie and Don Babcock, and Tara Bruecken (Chris Painter).
Jean is also survived by her only son, Mark “Dan” Wesoloski, and his wife, Pam; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Janice Robinson, and her husband, Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Lucien Wesoloski; sister, Augusta “Joan” Blancheon; her brothers, Jack Denny and Jeff Denny; her daughter, Darcy Anderson; and son-in-law, Michael Anderson.
Wanda “Jean” Wesoloski will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
WESOLOSKI — Friends of Wanda “Jean” Wesoloski, who died Tuesday, March 17, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora.
Private burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Oakland, Chicora.
