SAXONBURG — The borough is joining other municipalities in Butler County in celebrating the country’s semiquincentennial, holding its own America250 parade and fireworks show the night of July 3.

The parade will start in front of Roebling Park, travel up Rebecca Street, make a turn onto Main Street and finish at the Dollar General parking lot. The fireworks display will take place after the parade. It’s sponsored by the Light of Life Rescue Mission.

“We have a couple of military jeeps, some local celebrities and fire trucks from all the departments,” borough manager Steven May said. “It’s small, but it’s something that shows our support for America250.”
