Dec. 8 — Hope E. Charlton, 34, was allegedly caught with one-half gram of crystal methamphetamine and a meth pipe during a house check by the Butler County Probation Office. She is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

6:02 a.m. Tuesday — Charles Senkyere, 60, of Cranberry Township was injured when the tractor-trailer he was driving struck a ditch on Winfield Road in Winfield Township. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for chest pain. His vehicle had to be towed. Police cited Senkyere for disregarding traffic lanes.Tuesday — Kimberly A. Kotomski, 53, of Renfrew was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Butler Township. Police said she was pulled over around 10:50 p.m. Nov. 13 in the area of New Castle and Alameda roads.Kotomski subsequently was taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.131%, according to court documents. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, she is charged with careless driving.Dec. 10 — Police charged Larry W. Schmidt, 64, of Clay Township with being more than twice the state's legal limit for alcohol in connection with a traffic incident last month in Center Township. A patrol trooper said he was behind Schmidt's pickup truck when it traveled off North Benbrook Road near Route 8 before stopping in the middle of the road.Later, according to court documents, he was taken for a breath test, which indicated his blood-alcohol level was 0.166%.Schmidt is charged with DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.5:34 p.m. Dec. 5 — Austin M. Weisenstein, 23, of Butler crashed his sport utility vehicle into a ditch on South Clearfield Road just south of Old Route 422 east in Clearfield Township. Police said they found him unconscious in the driver's seat.Several doses of Narcan were administered to him, according to a police report, as he was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital. The report noted that the crash is a suspected case of driving under the influence, but no other information was available.12:06 a.m. Dec. 5 — An SUV driven by Nathaniel T. Lewis, 25, of Butler struck a deer on Route 8 in Center Township. Lewis was not injured, but his vehicle had to be towed. The deer was killed.Dec. 2 — Jordan M. Deangelo, 24, of Butler Township was charged with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop last month in Butler. She was stopped around 11:45 p.m. Nov. 14 at South Chestnut and West Diamond streets.Police said Deangelo was eventually taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Lab results later showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.136%, according to court documents. A level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, she is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, failing to stop at a red light, careless driving, failing to use hazard lights and littering.Dec. 2 — A Lancaster County man was charged with drugged driving and having marijuana in connection with an October traffic stop in Muddy Creek Township. Jaziah A. Richardson, 21, of Lancaster was pulled over around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 on Route 422 near the intersection with the Interstate 79 north on-ramp.During the stop, according to court documents, police found a small bag of marijuana in the center console of Richardson's car. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results allegedly showed he had marijuana in his system,He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, speeding, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.Nov. 24 — Police charged Courtney A. Wilson, 29, of Hilliards in connection with a case of suspected identity theft following a traffic stop earlier in November in Center Township. She was pulled over around 12:50 p.m. Nov. 3 in the area of Route 8 and South Benbrook Road.A trooper asked for Wilson's identity and she provided a bogus ID, according to court documents. Police said that after she was detained, she provided another name and other personal information.Police used that information to send traffic charges by mail to the wrong person. That person, according to court documents, called police several days later, telling them it was not her who was pulled over for the traffic stop.Later, police spoke to Wilson, who allegedly admitted to wrongdoing. She is charged with identity theft, false identification to law enforcement authorities, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

7:49 p.m. Dec. 9 — A cargo van driven by Bradley J. Mosley, 33, of Apollo struck a deer on Route 422 just west of Mile Long Hill Road in North Buffalo Township. Mosley was not injured.6:45 p.m. Dec. 1 — No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle wreck in Bradys Bend Township. The crash occurred when a 16-year-old Poland, Ohio, boy lost control of the car he was driving on snow-covered Route 68 just west of Rohrbach Road. The car spun into the opposing lane, where a pickup truck sideswiped it. In turn, according to a police report, the pickup driven by Barry T. Allmond, 43, of Rimersburg struck head-on another pickup driven by Tye B. Jordan, 22, of East Brady. Both trucks had to be towed. Police did not release the boy's name.5:47 p.m. Dec. 1 — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash in North Buffalo Township. The wreck involved a sport utility vehicle driven by Wendy L. Cubero, 48, of Adrian and a pickup truck driven by Frank Stello, 66, of Kittanning.

Dec. 9 — Daniel B. Mortland, 34, of Mercer was charged with drugged driving in Springfield Township stemming from an October call to check on the welfare of a child. Police said they found him on the 2000 block of Leesburg Grove City Road.Mortland is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, child endangerment and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

4:05 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Kimberly M. Wheeler, 40, of Connoquenessing struck a wire fence along Old State Road just north of Princeton Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said Wheeler fled the scene, leaving the car, which was towed.
