Janet L. Gardner, 62, of Butler died at 11:06 a.m. Wednesday at UPMC Cranberry Place.

Born Aug. 31, 1944, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Evelyn McCall Davis.

She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, West Sunbury. She was active in the General Butler Vagabonds Drum and Bugle Corps, where she had served on the board and was treasurer.

Mrs. Gardner owned the With an Extra Touch catering business and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Melany) Fogel of Butler and Mrs. Scott (Dina) Godleski of New Kensington; three grandchildren, and a sister, Earlene Hovis of Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny R. Gardner, who died March 29, 1976, and a sister, Leanna Douglass.
