Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania CEO to retire

Patricia Burkhart, Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s chief executive officer, announced she is retiring after 23 years in the role. Burkhart will step down in June.
Burkhart has served as CEO since 2007. A news release said she has served in various positions and leadership roles with the Girl Scouts for 23 years. There will be a national search for her successor.
“Her impact isn’t measured in years, but in the tens of thousands of girls who experienced the amazing benefits of Girl Scouting during her tenure. Girls were her top priority in every strategy and decision,” Nicole King Yohe, chair of the board of directors, said in a news release.
