Gary L. Peters, 78, of Butler, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026.

He was born in Butler on June 17, 1947, son of the late Roy and Emma (Beabout) Peters.

Gary graduated from Karns City High School in 1965, and was employed as a car salesman, most recently at Kelly Chevrolet, from which he retired.

Gary was a member of the Slovak Club. He enjoyed watching Pittsburgh sports, bowling and golfing.

He was the father of Michele (Carl) Stachew, and Brian (Amber), Shawn and Emma (Gavin) Peters; stepfather of Amanda (Tyson) and Chelsea (Chaz); grandfather of Elena, Lauren, Melissa and Sofie; and great-grandfather of two.

Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn J. (Henry) Dantimo.

PETERS — All services for Gary L. Peters, who died Monday, March 2, 2026, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
